About this experience

Welcome to beginner sewing! Learning to sew on a machine can be a very rewarding and useful skill. This course will cover basic sewing machine operations: changing sewing machine feet, using the stitch selector, winding bobbins, minor trouble shooting, sewing a zipper, button holes and buttons, and other useful knowledge such as fabric choices and simple projects beginners can do with their new skills on a sewing machine as time and progression permit.

This course is a prerequisite (for those with no experience)

Recommended age 16+

  • Zippered pouch- use your new sewing skills to make a useful bag for cosmetics or anything else that closes with a zipper.
